Can you believe New Mexican Gov. Bill Richardson? When a fellow state like Arizona needs his neighborly help, he abandons her. His actions make me wonder if he does not want his state back in Mexico. He makes me sick. Richardson’s actions are not in keeping with those of a US state.
The border states of the US and Mexico get together every year to discuss issues common to all of them. This year it was Arizona’s turn to host the conference. Using Arizona’s new illegal immigration law as a reason, the Mexican states informed their northern neighbors their intent to boycott the meeting. So Gov. Brewer beat them to the punch and cancelled the meeting.
Gov. Brewer had acted appropriately. The conference was already a sham with the Mexican governors threatening a no show. In the XXVIII Border Governors Conference website, the governor posted the following explaining her actions:
Acting in my capacity as Chair of the XXVIII Border Governors Conference, I am writing you to let you know that your recent confirmation regarding non-attendance at the upcoming conference has led to my decision to cancel the Conference. As you know, all member Governors originally agreed many months ago to have Arizona as the site for the 2010 event. At this time, I find no appropriate alternative to cancellation, since each of you has stated in your correspondence that you will not come due to legislation recently passed in Arizona. Naturally I am disappointed by your decision, as I sincerely believe the gathering of the Governors in Arizona would have presented a great platform to initiate dialogue about the legislation and other topics of great importance to the border region.
Gov. Brewer goes on to say that she wants to meet with the governors of the Mexican states to discuss Arizona’s law and how the law will be implemented along with the myths that have been created. That is when the New Mexico governor sees his opportunity to not only stab his fellow governor but to gain political points among progressives and Hispanics in his state. So Richardson jumps into the fray. Maybe the yearly Border Conference would not be cancelled after all, especially if he should host the meeting in New Mexico. He should have held firm with Arizona citing the need to stand with a fellow state, but instead, he saw political gain and deserted his fellow citizens next door.
What alternative did Brewer have? The conference was already going to be a bust and so why not take the first step. Mexico has already shown their disdain for our borders and laws by providing maps, water and other assistance to help their citizens who plan to illegally enter the US. The Mexican authorities like the money sent back home by the illegals in the US.
This would have been a good opportunity for Gov. Richardson to stand with his fellow US border state and defend her actions. Arizona is being overrun with illegal aliens and their minions: drugs and crime. A sister state was in trouble and instead of standing with her, Richardson kicks her while she’s down. What a dunce.

The question was, “Can you believe New Mexican Gov. Bill Richardson?” Richardson should be in jail. And this goes back several years as a representative of New Mexico. The record on this crook is astounding. Back door deals. bribes, etc. Richardson still represents the Land of Disenchantment. Manny Aragon and Ray Sanchez, Richardson’s other partners in crime have laundry lists as well. Richardson is a sell-out to politics and politics only. He’s a suck-up to liberal, progressive Obama Machine that will be dismantled in November. The answer, “No, why would anyone believe or trust a scoundrel like Bill Richardson.”
Unquestionably believe that which you stated. Your favorite justification appeared to be on the web the easiest thing to be aware of. I say to you, I definitely get irked while people consider worries that they plainly do not know about. You managed to hit the nail upon the top as well as defined out the whole thing without having side-effects , people can take a signal. Will likely be back to get more. Thanks
