Was Stalin a Democrat, Or Is Obama a Socialist?

As some of you know I am a voracious reader, particularly history and politics.  So it is with some interest I ran across a sentence in a book written by Donald Rayfield called Stalin and His Hangmen.  Donald Rayfield is a professor of Russian and Georgian history and has written a number of books on the subject.  I was happy to read my book until I found this sentence as he was discussing a young Ioseb Junghashvili (Joseph Stalin): “Marxists declare man to be naturally good; all evil stems from social injustice.”  When I read the sentence, it suddenly occurred to me, ‘Stalin would have made a great Democrat.’

Wikipedia has this sentence concerning socialism:

Socialists mainly share the belief that capitalism unfairly concentrates power and wealth among a small segment of society that controls capital, and creates an unequal society. All socialists advocate the creation of an egalitarian society, in which wealth and power are distributed more evenly, although there is considerable disagreement among socialists over how, and to what extent this could be achieved.

Think about it, Stalin believed poor people are poor because rich people have too much, just like the Dems. When people complained, he squashed all dissent like the Dems.  He was not above destroying his opponents, just like the Dems.  Stalin believed in taking from those with more than enough and giving it to those who needed more, like the Dems.  On and on we could go.  The bottom line is Joseph Stalin would have made a good Democrat.  Either that or today’s liberals are closet socialists.

Take what Barack Obama told America while he was debating Hillary Clinton.  The question was something like: ‘History has shown when taxes are raised, the government actually receives less money and when taxes are lowered, they receive more money.  Why would you Senator Obama still want to raise taxes when doing so has been shown to bring in less?’  His answer, ‘It is not about the amount of money raised, it is about fairness.’  Fairness!?  Are you kidding me?  Sound suspiciously like what Joseph Stalin would say.

When the good Senator was meeting the people, one man commonly known as Joe the Plummer had a question about how raising taxes would hurt the business he wants to buy.  Senator Obama’s response, raising taxes on those who make more than $250,000 a year is needed to ‘restore fairness to the system.’  Lets face it, income redistribution is a socialist idea, like it or not.  Stalin would love Obama’s tax plan.

Barack Obama’s tax plan is to raise the tax on the top 5% of wage earners in the United States and lower everyone else’s.  I few days ago, before the last debate, I asked for clarification on Obama’s tax plan because the numbers do not add up.  How do the bottom 40% of wage earners in the country who pay no taxes receive a tax break?  They can’t, unless Barack Obama intends to pay these people because they are poor.  Today from Barack Obama’s own mouth, I find out this is exactly what he intends on doing.  This is income redistribution, pure and simple.  Stalin would be soooo happy.

I guess I should not complain.  In fact I think I should be more like Joseph Biden.  That way the more taxes I pay, the more patriotic I would feel.  It worked for a while in the USSR and for Joseph Stalin, so…

Supreme Court Sides with Dems in Ohio Voter Fraud Case

Sometimes I wonder what the justices on the Supreme Court are thinking when they issue an opinion like they did today.  The Republican Party of Ohio had asked for Secretary of State Jennifer Brunner to do her job and enforce the law which required the state to verify fraudulent voters.  The 6th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals agreed and basically ordered the Democrat party hack to do her job.  Instead, she went to the Supreme Court for relief arguing the order would disenfranchise voters.  What a crock!

The High Court like many other rulings went to the letter of the law rather than maintain the integrity of one of the most treasured rights we have in America, the right to elect our government officials.  Today, the Supreme Court had a failure of testicular fortitude and instead of ruling on the merits of the case, they ruled on some harebrained technicality.

We express no opinion on the question whether HAVA [Help America Vote Act of 2002] is being properly implemented.

What a bunch of wimps!  They would rather let Brunner keep a faulty 200,000 voter applications than ensure the integrity of the Presidential Election.

If Obama wins, will any of us consider him the lawful President?  I don’t think so.

Michelle Obama a Racist?

I have to admit, I did not see this one coming.

Mrs Obama was angered and she came out loud with the following: “African press International is supposed to support Africans and African-American view,” and she went to state that, “it is strange that API has chosen to support the racists against my husband. There is no shame in being adopted by a step father. All dirt has been thrown onto my husband’s face and yet he loves this country. My husband and I know that there is no law that will stop him from becoming the president, just because some American white racists are bringing up the issue of my husband’s adoption by His step father. The important thing here is where my husband’s heart is at the moment. I can tell the American people that My husband loves this country and his adoption never changed his love for this country. He was born in Hawaii, yes, and that gives him all the right to be an American citizen even though he was adopted by a foreigner; says Michelle Obama on telefon to API.”

I knew Michelle was a racist, but….

This one should cost Barack Obama, but considering the rose colored glasses liberals have on, this will be a non-issue to the MSM like Jeremiah Wright, William Ayers…

John Murtha Apologizes for ‘Racist’ Statement

One of my favorite moonbats is at it again.  I do not generally find people I just do not like, but John Murtha is one of those people.  As a retired general, he should know not to stab his fellow soldiers in the back, but that is exactly what he did when he called our troops ‘murderers.’  And when you are running for office, you should know to go running your mouth like he does.  Murtha is like a lot of self serving egotistical military loathing liberals I know, he suffers from foot-in-mouth disease.

The problem came when John Murtha of Pennsylvania said the people from the western part of his state were racist.

“There’s no question Western Pennsylvania’s a racist area.”

Later that same day, a spokesman for Murtha issued the following statement.

“It’s naive to think that race or gender doesn’t play a role in a voter’s perception of a candidate.”

Really!?  It seems to me the only ones who seems to see color everywhere they go are the Democrats.  Barack Obama has commented on his color several times making a issue of his race.  He has labeled himself the ‘black candidate.’  Then when some whites who live in western Pennsylvania has some disagreement with Obama’s liberalism, they are called ‘racists.’  But when 90% of blacks vote for Obama, nothing is said.  That can not be racism, the liberals say.  But when 55% of whites want to vote for McCain they claim racism.  From what I have seen, Democrats are the racists.

Today, John Murtha issued an apology for his comments, well, sort of.

“While we cannot deny that race is a factor in this election, I believe we’ve been able to look beyond race these past few months and that voters today are concerned with the policy differences of our two candidates and their vision for the future of our great country,” he said.

So in effect Murtha is saying, this is a racist area but the people of western Pennsylvania have only recently been able to look past their racist tendencies and look at other things.  Wow!  I guess after the Presidential election they will be racist once again.

If there was ever a guy who deserved to be retired from the House, it would be John Murtha.

All is Not Lost, Even if McCain Loses in November

I found this great post by Cassy Fiano which takes the Daily Kos founder to task for asking his fellow ‘comrades’ not only to help Obama defeat John McCain and the Republicans, but to crush them.  She rightly comes to this conclusion.

And what Comrade Markos seems incapable of understanding is that four years of an ultra-liberal Congress and an ultra-liberal President will only work to move voters further to the right.

The rest of the post is very informative, but this one sentence stands out.  A Barack Obama presidency will usher in a Republican majority in Congress in the 2010 midterm elections.  I ask fellow bloggers not to moan about how the sky is falling should McCain lose in November.  Just remember, it took the failed policies and total incompetence of Jimmy Carter to usher in Ronald Reagan.  For that I thank you Jimmy.  After Bill Clinton won in 1992 and enacted his left wing policies, the Republicans won the house in 1994.  Left wing policies and Presidents create a huge reaction at the polls in the opposite direction.

So even if the worst should happen and Barack Obama wins the presidency, all is not lost.  Even Jimmy Carter had a Democrat Congress and got nothing done because of Blue Dog Democrats.  Lets just pray there are enough of them to keep Barack from doing any permanent damage our this country.

Chet Edwards is TOO Liberal for Texas

For years those living in the Brazos Valley have had to endure the liberal from Waco, Chet Edwards, as their representative.  Why do we need anybody who takes their marching orders from that ultra liberal California, Nancy Pelosi?  She has absolutely nothing in common with the inhabitants who live in central Texas and yet she would have us believe that Chet is the best candidate for us.  NO WAY!  And yet what does Chet have to say about it….

Edwards said any action he takes in Congress is guided by independence and reason, rather than by partisan politics.

Let me get this straight, Mr. Edwards does not take his marching orders from those of us who live in his district but by his own warped sense of ‘independence and reason.’  What a joke!  He even says he is not guided by partisan politics, but he follows one of the most partisan people in all of Congress when he does and says what Pelosi tells him to do and say.  When will people of Texas wake up and see who they are electing to Congress.

After Pelosi offered the name of Chet Edwards as a possible running mate of Barack Hussein Obama, Chet began running around like a man bound for the Oval Office.  I liked what his Republican opponent,t Rob Curnock in Texas district 17, had to say about the entire affair.

“For my campaign it was the gift that kept on giving,” Curnock said

No doubt.  Anyone who receives the endorsements of both Nancy Pelosi and Barack Obama would not understand those who live in this district much less represent them.  He does not represent Texas, much less central Texas.

Lets consider the way Chet has voted.  He voted to wave the white flag and surrender in Iraq.  He endorsed Barack Obama when his district will vote overwhelmingly for John McCain.  Chet Edwards for years has claimed to be a conservative Democrat, but his record shows otherwise.  Just take a look at his record.  He supports abortion when he district does not, he has a rating of 67% by the ALCU, a 100% by the liberal NEA, a 23% by the Christian Coalition, has received an F rating by the NRA, has an 80% rating by the AFL-CIO, has voted on impeachment proceedings against George W. Bush for Iraq, and is a big spender as shown by the number of earmarks he has secured…

$42.2 million — the 94th highest out of 435 representatives.

This guy does not represent us.  And anyone who has the endorsement of both Barack Obama and Nancy Pelosi does not represent us either.  Anyone who votes with the NEA and NARAL, and against the Christian Coalition and the NRA  does not represent Texas.  Central Texas needs conservative representation, not another raving liberal manic who clams to be ‘guided my independence and reason,’ not another liberal who claims to support the troops but not the war they are fighting, not someone who believes George Bush lied to get us into a war with Iraq.  We need real representation, not just empty words.  We have had that for way too long.   Rob Curnock has real credentials as a conservative and he would definitely be better than Chet Edwards.

Come on Texas, it is time to wake up and see Chet Edwards for who he really is—an ultra liberal with credentials to boot.

Obama’s Albatross

If the presidential election were held a few days ago or even today, then the hands-down winner would be Barack Obama. But now revelations are popping up left and right which Barack may have a hard time fending off. First is his association with Tony Resco which seems to resurface every once in a while, then the MSM is finally paying attention to unrepentant terrorist William Ayers while Obama’s deflections on the subject seem to weaken, then the ACORN voter fraud in the swing states and his ties to the corrupt organization, his association with radical Muslim extremists, and the fact that he once was a member of the ultra radical New Party.  Add to all of these the fact that Barack Obama tried to sway the Iraqi government to wait until the following year to discuss pulling troops out of Iraq in an apparent violation of US law.

All of these new and old revelations could possibly hang about the neck of Barack Obama like an albatross giving McCain a chance to save our country from those too stupid to vote for an Obama presidency. But if the Illinois Senator does somehow manage to win the election, Obama’s presidency will be doomed to failure as the glamour of his speeches and empty promises wear thin on Americans savvy enough to understand there is a difference between hope and reality. I would then give Obama only two years, because after that, Republicans would win both houses of Congress ending Obama’s radical liberal socialist regime.

Parents Must Cover Their Children Under Obama’s Plan

This is the first chance I have had to write concerning the debate, so while my comments are late, I do believe they are relevant.

First is the fact that neither candidate had a home run.  John McCain attacked and Barack Obama parried.  That was the debate in one sentence.  That is not to say there was nothing relevant in the debates, quite the contrary.  Both sides stated their views in their normal stump speeches though Obama did say one thing that disturbed me on his healthcare plan.

When asked if healthcare was a right or a privilege, McCain said it was a privilege with some natural equivocations.  Obama declared healthcare was a—right?  Wow!  I wonder which of the bill or rights makes healthcare a right, but that was not the only thing he said.  When McCain made some statement that Obama’s plan would require everyone to buy healthcare and all business to cover their people or else face a fine, the fine Senator from Illonios repudiated the charge.  Of course he did have one little caveat, all children must be covered under his healthcare plan.  I do not know why the media is not covering this statement because he said flat out, parents MUST cover their children under his healthcare plan.  Are you kidding me?

As one of the self-employed people in this nation, who would face higher taxes under Obama’s tax plan, I am one of many people in this nation who do not have healthcare.  It is not that I can not afford it, we do not get sick.  Every time I go to the doctor, his office makes me fill out a new patient form because I go so seldom.  The same is true of my children.  When I need to go to the doctor, I pay for it then.  And it is a lot cheaper than health insurance.  When the government takes control of anything, the price skyrockets.

I can not afford Obama’s healthcare plan.  I can not afford Obama’s tax plan.  We as a nation can not afford Obama.

Something Wrong with Obama Math

The third Presidential debate takes place tomorrow.  There is a question I wish John McCain would ask Barack Obama—if your tax policy gives 95% of the American people a tax break and the bottom 40% pay no taxes, how do they get a tax break without wealth redistribution?

There are other question which I may add later, but that is one I really want answered.  Is there something wrong with my math or is Obama pulling the wool over our eyes?

Hmmm.
