Barak Obama Throws Hat into the Presidential Ring

Captain Ed at Captain’s Quarters has an in-depth look at what first time Senator Barak Obama’s entry into the Democratic field of candidates for President will mean for the rest of the known contenders. After all, there is only so much money to go around.

Others may decide to run in this wide open election season, but so far it features two losers with Al Gore and John Kerry, seven ‘who?’ candidates with Evan Bayh, Joe Biden, Wesley Clark, John Edwards, Russ Feingold, Bill Richardson, Tom Vilsack, and it includes one heavy weight in Hillary Clinton. The listing of the ‘who?’ candidates is not to belittle their candidacy since Bill Clinton started out as one. Those who follow politics will know these names well since they include seven Senators (including one former Senator) and two governors.

I have been waiting for someone to challenge Hillary for the Democratic nomination and Barak Obama may be just the one to do it.
