al-Qaeda Threatens Media For Not Reporting More Bad News
Things must not be going as planned. That is the only reason I can conclude when the Taliban starts to threaten the media for not reporting their side of events.
The top Taliban military commander on Monday said that NATO’s claims to have killed more than 200 insurgents over the weekend were propaganda and warned that his men would target journalists who reported “wrong information” given by the U.S.-led coalition or NATO. (snip)
“From today, I want to tell journalists that if in future they use wrong information from coalition forces or NATO we will target those journalists and media,” Dadullah said. “We have the Islamic right to kill these journalists and media.”
The ever cooperative media will most like start to question everything the commanders on the ground are telling them. Wait! They already do that. They even publish bogus stories of our troops killing innocent women and children. Since the Taliban have started threatening the media, it can only mean the media is not cooperative enough. It is not telling enough bogus stories. The media, particularly the American media, is not telling enough stories how al-Qaeda is winning, how American and NATO troops are killing women and children, and how America can’t win this war.
Take the AP story covering the last video tape of al-Qaeda’s No. 2 leader, Ayman al-Zawahri along with American born Adam Yehiye Gadahn.
An American thought to be an al-Qaida activist appeared in a videotape with the terror group’s deputy leader Saturday and called on his countrymen to convert to Islam and for U.S. soldiers to switch sides in the Iraq and Afghan wars.
The AP can not even say that Adam is part of al-Qaeda even though he dresses much like al-Qaeda, talks like al-Qaeda, and is seen with al-Qaeda. If it looks like a duck, quacks like a duck, and walks like a duck, it must be a duck. Adam the terrorist may be a public relations ploy for al-Qaeda for their psi-ops war, but in another sense, he is no better than Taliban Johnny, he is still a traitor.
Over and over we hear in the media, particularly the America media, how the United States is losing the war on terror, how we can not win against al-Qaeda, and we also hear about how our soldiers are torturing innocent freedom fighters, and killing women and children. The media is full of stories about the massacre at Hiditha, the secret torture prisons, the desecration of the Koran, the torture at Gitmo, and the torture at Abu Ghraib. Then the media routinely prints stories revealing state secrets including how we are finding al-Qaeda using financial data mining and tapping overseas phone calls.
With all of these disclosures and false stories in the mainstream media, the US is still winning the war on terror. Or maybe I should say in spite of all these disclosures and false stories, we are still winning. And now our media is being threatened with death if they don’t tell even more false stories? It can only mean the US is winning. al-Qaeda realizes they can only beat the US by turning its people against this war by using the media to tell these stories. The big story two weeks ago was what did not happen. 10 big airliners did not explode. That is good news for the good guys. Since the terrorists can not seem to win by terror, they need an ever compliant media to tell the news for them. The video of Adam the terrorist is nothing more than a PR stunt by al-Qaeda. But just wait, it is just a matter of time before the media does the bidding of the terrorists and will be gushing al over Adam Gadahn.
