Democrats Complicit in Soldiers Deaths Try to Make Political Hay
The hypocrisy of the Democratic Party knows no bounds. BlackFive has come across a video from the DCCC website which among other things displays rows of flag draped coffins with a soldier saying one last good-bye to a fallen friend. A banner across the middle says something like, “America Needs a New Direction.” A link to the video can be found here.
BlackFive was greatly offended by this video. As an American citizen I am disgusted by this video. As a veteran I am greatly offended by it. The Democratic Party has told the Republican Party not to use 9/11 in their commercials because the attacks belong to everyone. Yet it is the Republicans who are intent on fighting the war on terror, not the Democrats.
There is another side to this issue which makes me mad. The one where the words of certain Democrats like John Murtha, John Kerry, Nancy Pelosi, Howard Dean and others are used to embolden our enemies. They call our troops murderers. They say we are in a quagmire. They say we can’t win. And every time these Democrats speak out, our enemies gain confidence. The terrorists think they have a chance of winning if they can kill enough troops. If enough soldiers die on battlefields in Iraq and Afghanistan the American people will force the administration to withdraw the troops. The Democrats might as well have shot the troops with their own hands. At least then these politicians would have some honor. Instead, they have stabbed our soldiers in the back repeatedly under the banner of patriotism. Our soldiers deserve better than this.
Our troops have become a pawn in a chess match used as cannon fodder for the political ambitions of the Democratic Party. The Democrats whose words have killed our troops then use pictures of the same soldiers they killed in a commercial to raise money for elections. And this not only offends me, it makes me mad as hell.
What really galls me is the Democrats call themselves patriots. Unlike Shakespeare’s Lady Macbeth, who can not seem to wash the blood off her hands after plotting to kill the rival of her husband, the Democrats feel no remorse whatsoever. They have the blood of American soldiers on their hands and they feel good about it! These people have absolutely no conscience at all. The Democrats wrap themselves in the American flag, kill our soldiers, and then try to make political points for their actions.
Yeah, BlackFive, I too am greatly offended.
Update:
It seems some Democrats are beginning to feel the heat from constituents on the showing of this video.
U-S Representative John Spratt has asked the campaign arm for House Democrats to pull a fund-raising video.
To me, this is not a red-blue issue. This is an American issue. Veterans need to speak up against this video if they are offended as I am.

Update II: After all the complaints, especially the ones from veterans, the DCCC has decided to pull the ad.
After a second Democratic Congressman, Chet Edwards, demanded the ad be pulled, the DCCC has caved and decided to pull the advertisement using military flag-draped coffins from their website.
