Mexico’s Sore-Loserman

So the United States is not the only country who has “Sore Losermans.”  Looks like the Mexican Presidential election is shaping up to be much like the US 2000 election.  And this election has its own Al Gore who refuses to accept any results of this election which has him losing.  Did I already say this sounds so much like Al Gore?

Mexico’s tense presidential race took another dramatic turn Monday night as leftist candidate Andrés Manuel López Obrador alleged irregularities in the preliminary election returns and said he would not accept the vote count.

Those returns showed conservative Felipe Calderón poised to win, with a 1 percentage point lead over his rival, and Mr. López Obrador’s statement raised anew concerns about possible unrest in the country.

“Evidently there was a manipulation,” Mr. López Obrador told reporters at the headquarters of his Party of the Democratic Revolution, or PRD. (snip)

In the wee hours Monday, some of his supporters cruised around the Zócalo in a caravan of cars, blaring horns and shouting “No to fraud” and “Lies, Lies, Lies.”

“Mexico is not Florida,” read one sign, a reference to the close Bush-Gore presidential race of 2000.

Ouch!  Al Gore apparently has become the standard-bearer for political sore losers.  Losers all over the world has taken up the Gore standard, never accept defeat even if it means destroying your own country.

That does sound like Al Gore.
